That division of electronic military warfare involving actions which are taken to search for, intercept, locate, record, immediately identify radiated electromagnetic energy, and to analyze radiated electromagnetic energy for the purposes of exploiting such radiations in support of military operations.
2. A division of electronic warfare involving actions ordered by, or under direct control of, an operational commander to search for, intercept, identify, and to locate sources of intentional and unintentional radiated electromagnetic energy for the purpose of immediate threat recognition.
